Terms of Service

BuildBot Systems ("BuildBot," "we," "us") operates the BuildBot drone facade inspection platform, including the web application at buildbotsystems.com and the associated companion camera application (together, the "Service"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service is invite-only. Accounts are provisioned by BuildBot administrators for facility managers, building owners, drone operators, and insurance adjusters engaged in facade inspection work. You may not share your account credentials, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.

BuildBot accepts drone-captured RGB and infrared (IR) imagery or video of building facades, processes it through automated defect-detection models, and generates an inspection report (including a PDF export).

Automated results are decision support, not a substitute for professional judgment. Defect detection, severity classification, and measurements are produced by machine-learning models and image analysis. They may contain errors, omissions, or false positives/negatives. Any inspection report generated by the Service should be reviewed by a qualified professional before being relied upon for structural, safety, insurance, or compliance decisions.

You retain ownership of the imagery, video, building metadata, and any other content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant BuildBot a limited license to store, process, and transform it solely to provide the Service to you — including running it through our detection models, generating reports, and displaying results back to you or those you explicitly share a result with.

You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions to capture and upload imagery of the buildings and locations you submit, including any third-party property or privacy considerations at the site of capture.

If you choose to connect a Google account, the Service requests only the minimum Google Drive access needed for the feature you use:

• Web import (read-only): used only to let you pick files from your own Drive to import into an inspection. This access is used directly from your browser and is never sent to or stored on BuildBot's servers.
• Companion app backup: access limited to files the app itself creates, used to back up captures and recordings to a folder in your Drive.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process imagery you do not have the right to capture or share;
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or role-based access controls;
• Upload malware, or content that infringes another party's rights;
• Use the Service to build a competing automated facade-inspection product from its outputs.

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable during maintenance, third- party outages (including our cloud inference, storage, and hosting providers), or updates. We may modify or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify active accounts of material changes to these Terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DEFECT DETECTION OR MEASUREMENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUILDBOT SYSTEMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY INSPECTION RESULT IT PRODUCES.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; contact us to request account and data deletion.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lagos State, Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
